Wreck it Rad!

Rad Rodgers: World One, an offbeat platformer about a mischievous boy who gets sucked inside the world of videogames, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 15% launch discount.

We've all been there: after an exhausting night of trying to beat your favorite videogame, you doze off and end up waking inside the gameworld. That's Rad! And he's not alone - his old console Dusty is here with him, providing snarky commentary, platforming assistance, and some pretty nifty weapons. Just in time, too, because as Rad soon finds out, this lush jungle world is slowly succumbing to a sinister corruption and it's up to him and his console buddy to blast away the baddies and save the day. Just like old times!

Rad Rodgers is planned as a series of standalone “Worlds”, with new Worlds yet to be announced!
Rad Rodgers: World One is the first of these instalments – set to feature an Overworld hub, 7 levels, and as much as 4-6 hours of old-school platforming once released. While “In Development", Rad Rodgers: World One will be receiving weekly content updates up until its planned release on December 1.

Embark on a wild platforming adventure with a boy and his favorite sentient console in Rad Rodgers: World One, DRM-free on GOG.com!
The 15% discount will last until December 1st, 5:59 PM UTC.

Note: This game is currently in development. See the FAQ to learn more about games in development, and check out the forums to find more information and to stay in touch with the community.

2D Ratchet and Clank?
Looks cool and it's awesome to have this concept explored again: a young kid with crazy gadgets in an alien world. Though above all I'd like to see a proper Commander Keen Reboot someday, and perhaps an HD re-release of Heart of Darkness.
LGR Plays - Rad Rodgers [Early Build First Impressions]

I figured this one had been released already, but it seems LGR made a video based on an early build.
That build definitely did not scream instabuy though.
Nice, that eas much faster than I expected. Now I have to check if my backer key already arrived.

The first cutscene managed to make me hate the game. xD
I'll pass.
Looks rad, wishlisted for now.
Looks like Giana Sisters to me :)
HA! Jon St.John was just showcasing this at Youmacon this year (He voices Dusty) I'm already getting it now :D

Ratchet & Clank
Remember Ruff N' Tumble?

I'm still waiting, but its good that this game is made, just for those who didn't/couldn't play the classic.
Wow, that LGR video...

This game has horrible writing.

Dray2k: Remember Ruff N' Tumble?
YES!!! Exactly what I was thinking. One of my favorite Amiga games. Loved it...... :D
I'm getting a Giana Sisters vibe from it, too, with the colourful environments and the gems—not a bad thing! I also like the contrast the pixelly interface creates with the world, even though I generally don't like it when two very different styles are mixed.

I don't really like the vulgar language in the trailer that seems to be there "just because it's cool," though. It's not an instant stopper, but I would prefer it without.

Anyway, one question: it's currently titled World One; will it change to World Two when the second world is released and simply Rad Rodgers when the game is complete?
