I don't recall seeing any similar threads on this site, so I figured I'd pose this question myself.

Is there any game setting you could picture yourself living and being active in? Given all the different genres out there and the various worlds and/or historical time periods games are centered around, everyone can probably think of a few that would be ideal for them. Whether it's Final Fantasy or Star Wars, there's gotta be an immersive game world that makes your imagination run wild.

For myself, I'd go with the world of Gloriana from the Quest for Glory series. With its lovely mix of characters, lore, geography, magic, and humor, I can imagine being thoroughly engaged and entertained by living there. Another cool one would probably be the Unreal universe, with its breathtaking planetscapes and awe-inspiring futuristic architecture. It'd be more of an action-filled existence, but that enthralling sense of wonderment would pervade nearly everything I did. Sure, my chances of getting mauled by a bloodthirsty Skaarj would be pretty high, but I suppose every game world has its dangers.
Probably the Federation in Star Trek considering it's a place without poverty, crime, disease or want. You can have everything you want made by a Replicator.

Myst, maybe. The potential of so many different places available to explore is an interesting concept.
For me, it would be the Zone from the STALKER franchise. I love how the sense of desolation that the place radiates over its every inch, both dissuades and calls to the hearts of a few people to come (mainly due to the fact that the Zone being a trove of artifacts worth of millions of dollars). The different communities that you encounter always gesture at you an invitation that you belong there. From the bars full of drunken men trying to drink their free times away, down to the small resting spots usually filled with two to four guys around a campfire chatting with one another. Be it surrounded by other STALKERS or not, the calming scenery that the Zone has to offer are already ample to make you want to stay.

But then again, that's still Earth.

For me it's Sigil and Faerun. But only if I would be a high level sorcerer. :) In any other case it would be too dangerous to live there...

I'll bring one.
Lots of game worlds spring to mind but then when I consider living at the bottom in those places I feel like I would rather not. What guarantee do we have that we would belong to the elite?
Fallout New Vegas, because I know how to snipe.
Gone Home.
Because it's a real world and I have a huge house.
The Sims.

Oh, wait...

Aramandur: The Sims.

Oh, wait...
You wanna speak gibberish and have blurred out private parts? And just try falling asleep asleep at night with a giant green diamond over your head.
Nobody mentioned HuniePop yet?
