Tallima: That is pretty wild, though. Got any old photos?
All destroyed to protect the guilty

Tallima: Did any vampire players end up meeting and marrying through the experience? That would be one heck of a unique story, I'd imagine. But perhaps not.
Well there was other games and things going on with that group of people, I will not go into details but yes there are some of the group that are now together.

Tallima: I had a friend who was a fantasy rpg larper. They would do battle and whatnot. But how would a battle work with the vampires? Same sort of thing? Guns, swords, biting? Or was it more of a political game? And were there bats in the cave? I hate bats. Rabies and all. But man, it would definitely add to the ambiance.
No bats

combat was non-physical (no rubber weapons)

You had groups of 5,3 and 1 attributes to put into physical, mental and social. Each attribute was an adjective such as cunning, agile, stalwart and so on. when making a challenge you "use" an adjective "I swiftly stab you", the defend then uses a suitable adjective "I stalwartly absorb your attack" You then use rock-paper-scissors to find the winner. You can keep going till you run out of adjectives.

Mostly it was a political game of intrigue, influence and deal making

Bloodrayne wasn't that bad at its time.
Some of the elder scrolls games have expansions with vampires.
Might and Magic series has some vampires, not really a vampire-centric bunch though.
If I could recommend one adventure game, it would definitely be Vampyre Story.
There's also Dracula 1-5 here on GOG, point-and-click adventures. Story is mostly built on Bram Stoker's book.
I think Tallima only meant the two Vampire The Masquerade games, not any vampire game. But since we're already at it and I know Tallima likes NWN, there's also a short module inspired by the VtM/World of Darkness setting, Vampire: Heaven Defied. ;)

Thanks man, can get more use out of NWN. :P

Be aware that it's only loosely based on VtM and more of a prologue, kind of ends when things start to get really interesting, but if you're okay with that, it's great.

If you ever have the opportunity to watch the Short lived TV series Kindred, which was "based" on the World of Darkness; take that opportunity and do something else with your time. It was shite!

I think I seen a marathon of that years ago. Can't remember anything about it. Oh yeah I forgot I also have new world of darkness and vampire the requiem, that's how many times I've used that. lol

There is also the brilliant Misery Stone module for NwN 2 which is set in the Ravenloft setting.

You aren't really a vampire. But there is vampires in it along with other horrors of the night.

That looks very pretty. I still haven't played nwn2 for more than a few hours. I just loathe its camera.

Tallima: The Vampire games have been on my list for a while. But I don't know anything about them except people say "you must play!"

So, there's bloodlines and masquerade. Any others? Do I need to play them all to enjoy then? Just one? Is there anything else I should know?

Thanks!
Skyrim with the Dawnguard DLC can be a really fun vampire game with the right mods.

It sucked. :P
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. A buggy as hell game but it is worth it. You can also try the Soul Reaver games. The lore is intriguing and is worth exploring.
