I still will have to reinstall all games because now i lack many important redistributables which are usually (but not always) part of the installer. Else the game will not work if it is in demand of those redistributables. I can try to get them separately.

I am not even sure if i want all the install-entrys because potentially it can decrease system stability. Actually i only need the installed games (on the game drives) and the menu-links stored on system C.

Guess it is still better doing so, so i have the version infos available, but this will take weeks, as the installs are slow.

At least Dishonored 2 and 3 (and probably 1) eagerly installed DirectX9.0, and some other VC++++++ <insert a year here> redistributable, that those games apparently need. Oh yeah and some version of PhysisX too!

Well the problem is that the version does matter and you need the exact version the game has been designed for... not a newer one. So, in the end it really is hogging your system but thats how the cookie crumbles.

New DX and new PhysX, it all is part of the new drivers and/or MS OS, what matters are some older versions not necessarily provided. Usually GoG is bundling it with the installers, but not always.

Considering Vulkan, the matter is way easyer as this is a pretty new API with games usually designed for the newest one. But there is almost no games using it, and if so... only some secondary option. However, the GPU support will matter, only the newest GPUs will provide support for the newest Vulkan.

Those redistributables can be downloaded from the Microsoft website.
