Shadowstalker16: Why start a thread for this? The dalai lama should be easy to face.
Are you kidding? He's a lvl 20 Monk/lvl 20 Cleric. That guy's gonna mess you up.

As long as you pass his charisma speeches with a high willpower, you're fine. He can't use regular attacks.

That's true. High frequency wololos can be dangerous.

hedwards: TBH, the down vote bots are a problem, but the bigger problem is that GOG doesn't actually moderate the forum except in extreme cases. I'm not even sure what you'd have to do here any more to actually get banned, seeing as there's entire threads that are nothing but trolling and insulting other users.

I don't come in here much any more because the quality has gown down the crapper and still Mr. Gog can't be bothered to deal with even the trolling threads.

Why bother spending much time on the forum when there's so little signal for the noise?

At least with rep you can pretty much just ignore that. Bullying and harassment is something that you tend to have to manually sort through and that's too much work.

HunchBluntley: Things have changed. There's a new sticky thread you might find interesting. ;)
Theoretically, that was always the case. Have they actually decided that they're going to be enforcing their own rules? If so, about damn time.

Yes, that's why the aforementioned thread was created (and made sticky). (There's a big, long, often heated discussion about the rules and enforcement thereof in that thread and a few others.)
Granted, there's only one mod for now (fables22, who seems to be the social media maven, as well as community manager), and, due to the apparently arcane nature of the forum code, there's little that can be changed easily from a technical standpoint with regards to stuff like the rep system; but it's a start.
We'll have to see how it all plays out.

TBH, does anybody even check the stickies any more? For those of us that come in periodically, it doesn't really stand out there. The least they could do is make it blue or something like that.

Still, I'm somewhat skeptical that they're actually committed to going after some of the notorious trolls around here. I'll have to check that notable troll thread to see if it's been at least locked.
