Starmaker: This is wrong. I had to temporarily uninstall Galaxy at work and both services remained in the list. (I'm on Windows 7.)

No idea, I already reinstalled. I love Galaxy and I've never had problems with it.

Apropos of nothing, how do I learn stuff about Windows? This "let's use Ammyy Admin to service LAN PCs which process classified info" has got to stop.

Good question. Best two resources I can think of are the MSDN documentation library and the My Digital Life Forums, though neither of the two are easy to navigate. The people over at MDL should be able to help you with most questions, though the answer may often be "Look at this thread over there".
