My installation of Caveblazers has gone awry. The marker in the main menu keeps scrolling upwards, making it pretty near impossible to start the game. I tried uninstalling the game, ditching my save, deleting everything. Then in re-installed. But the problem is still there. So I wonder, is there some hidden setting files somewhere that I need to delete manually?
That sounds odd.
Do you have a controller plugged in with something set on top of it or something? Or even just have a controller plugged in? Try unplugging it before the next time you launch and see if that changes something.

Other than that I don't know what to tell you.
i'm not sure if registry matters with gog games. if you press start and run "regedit". you'll have access to the registry area. this is a dangerous area if you don't know what you're doing though
Press and hold Win key + R key, Run window should pop up. Type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Caveblazers\ hit enter and when the explorer window pop up, find and delete configuration file. May or may not work ; )
Thanks, good suggestions! I tried unplugging every mouse, keyboard, Xbox controller and HMD, deleted everything ... still the same. Just weird! Strange thing is, it worked before.

wow ... I just solved it! The menu went back to normal when I plugged in the Xbox controller! :-D

so the replugging actually solved it? meaning it was plugged in first didnt work, was plugged out didnt work and then only worked when plugged in again?
More like this:
Normally when I started the game, I had the controller turned on. So the menu worked. But one time, I started the game with the controller turned off, which made the menu go nuts. And when I tried to troubleshoot what was causing the error, I didn't felt the need to enable the controller.
