I bought "Whispers of a Machine (Blue Edition)" which contains a bonus soundtrack.

Now, I do see MP3 (cca 100MB) and WAV (cca 600MB) soundtrack download links which are just audio files like any other free soundtrack included with some game.

However, I also see a DLC link to download Windows and Macintosh installers for a soundtrack (which are about 5MB each), but what does that do?

For example, Windows isntaller looks like this "setup_whispers_of_a_machine_soundtrack_1.0.6d_(35876).exe" and after installing it in the game directory nothing changes. I've started the game before and after installing this soundtrack DLC and nothing changed.

I am assuming separate MP3/WAV downloads are soundtrack files. So what possible purpose does this installer have? I thought soundtrack may have been integrated with the game somehow, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Did anyone encounter such thing with some other game? Or can anyone tell me what the DLC soundtrack installer is actually for, if for anything?

Thank you.

It has been mentioned on the game subforum. Most likely it's just some kind of mistake on GOG part.
