I'm finding it really annoying every time I search for a JRPG that the page is bombarded with dozens of those shitty Kagura RPG-maker games. I don't care if a game is NSFW, as long as it is good, but those Kagura games are just lazy and low effort RPG-maker games, and would like to filter them out, say I'm searching for an RPG or an NSFW game. Is there a way to filter out games from certain publishers/developers I don't like, so they don't appear

Is there at least a way to display the publisher/developer on the "thumbnail" (or whatever it is called) of the game before clicking on it? I hate having to reload the page and start all over again just to see who developed/published the game. It's really tedious to sort through these games when most of them just plain suck.

Thank you in advanced,

If you're willing to run userscripts, https://github.com/ghorint2t/scripts/ adds advanced search options.

It won't let you exclude publishers, but you can blacklist individual games and exclude the tags associated with problematic genres.

Killing everything by Kagura is a matter of searching for it in the developer column and then blacklisting every game that is returned. Somewhat tedious, but this is the best suggestion I can manage.

That's too bad, because you could filter out that tag and weed out all Kagura games tagged JRPG.

bardberic221: How do I filter out games by publisher/developer?
I know it's not what you're looking for, but if you know who the publishers for your preferred games are, you can search ONLY for those by simply using the available options.

By the same method, you can also hide games with the NSFW tag from your search results (simply enter SNFW in the search bar, check the box, then click on the eye on the right side, to close it (= hide games with this tag).

People people. I don't have a problem with NSFW. In fact, I wish there were actually good ones. The problem is that those fucking Kagura games are literal crap and should never have been released on this site. Low effort, low quality, overpriced junk. The only solution is to kill off the Kagura games. I don't want to kill off the NSFW games.

I'm not going through each game individually, either. Kagura publishes like 50 games a year, and like another 50 DLCs. Fuck it. I'll just buy my JRPGs from another site. I'm not sorting through this BS. It's too much, way too tedious, and I lose interest within two minutes and move on to something else. Either give me an option to filter it out, or I mean, GOG has essentially lost a customer for this genre, just because of how hard it is to search for high quality games when over half of them are just simply junk. Just let me filter out this publisher. Not even all of their games are NSFW, either, so by killing off NSFW, their junk still shows up. It's literally this one publisher I can't stand.

What Mort said. You can exclude publishers, but on a "per tag" basis, rather than nevermore.
But that's not "excluding the publisher," like literally that's not what is being done by any stretch of the imagination; that is filtering out individual games or "problematic genres," which I already stated I don't want to do. On top of that, I'm not going to run an external script. Way too much of a hassle. Fuck it. I'll just use a different site to find games. I'm not putting up with this Kagura garbage. They have like a million fucking games here. I can't put up with it.

We need more tags then, not just "NSFW" but also "Manga Shovelware".

Btw, I would not say that these games are "literally" crap, because theny they would smell and you would have to put them in the toilet before your neighbors complain. I generally don't like them either tho. I bought some NSFW games and also Huniepop for the sake of it, but all that other Manga/Anime crap is not for me. At least we got a few better games like BADIK or Houseparty.
hahaha well then I'll just call them "literally low-effort RPGMaker junk," then

But yeah, I mean I've yet to find like a genuinely fun NSFW game - except for maybe Dead or Alive, if those count - but I'm positive they exist somewhere.

Ok, maybe I'm missing something here, but...we (as in: the customers) can't tag games in the shop, or am I mistaken?
If this is not some "Galaxy-exclusive thingy" that I don't know of, we're unable to do that, right?

So, we would be dependent on GOG to correctly (!!!) tag games for us...

We all know, GOG has a way of tagging games, that many (most?) of us would not always agree.

But now you trust them to tag all the games you deem NSFW or (quote) "literally low-effort RPGMaker junk"?
Well, good luck with that.

I don't understand what you're getting at. What does that even mean?

ffs, all I want is to filter out Kagura games (in all genres - they show up in JRPG, too) so they don't spam my search results...

There is a workaround. In the search tab type "kagura" instead the name of any specific game and all the kagura/whatever games will be shown

I believe that filtering "out" does not work like that.

It is not filtering, ii`s doing a search (in fact it is called "search store by title, publisher or tag") of the publisher or developer, and it shows their games plus any unrelated game with similar name. That's the reason it is a workaround when there s not anything better.

Edit: Anyway maybe I am misunderstanding something
