I really want the resolution to be 1920x1080p, and the colourbits to be 32.
I set these options in the Regedit, as Homeworld classic doth do.

But it doesn't work. The Main Menu is still crap for resolution and changing the In-game settings crashes the game.

All this while Windows 10, after being told the resolution has changed, goes absolutely nuts and throws shit everywhere. All my open windows go to the Right monitor, all my icons go on the left, run game in Admin and it decides the game should run on the right monitor while the central monitor gets 640x480p...Windows simply does not handle this well at all.

But I WILL NOT ACCEPT SURRENDER AND PLAY AT 640x480p16b! HELP PLEASE.

Edit: Oh and the resolution flickers a lot. Windows takes each flicker very seriously.

Have you gone to the Tools folder?

Have you gone to the Tools folder?
What tools folder? It's not in the GOG Games/Homeworld Emergence folder.
EDIT: Through absolutely masterful trawling (of about thirty seconds) I found something in the file...called nglide_config.exe. It had...Graphics options.

It didn't work.

I then went through the readme. And found...a key command...to make the game...windowed.
And then the resolution was worse. But it uncrashed the game after an alt-tabbing. Which means if I go back to Regedit...

I screwed up. It's only for people using 3DFX OpenGL option.
Newbit: I have ACHIEVED RESOLUTION! By running nglide_config.exe (not sure if this actually did anything, but turning off the 3Dfx logo splash screen probably helped since a lot of freezes occured on that), abusing the LAlt+Enter Command, Regediting my screen dimensions (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Sierra On-Line\Cataclysm\screenHeight+Depth+Width), and vigorous application of compatibility modes for Win95.

I have DONE IT! (admittedly after an episode of accidentally widthing at ~6000p).

Except now half of the screen's gone vanished downward. More readmes!

EDIT: Switching from using the .exe to the shortcut provided, adding /window resolves the kick-everything-to-pieces instinct of Windows when launching. Still end up with half of it missing (and needing judicious application of LAlt+Enter), but there's that.
EDIT: Tossing in a random command line gave me a list of command lines.

HAHAHAHAHA SUCCESS

I took the "Launch Homeworld Emergence" shortcut available in the homeworld emergence folder, stuck /window /noborder /freemouse in it's command line, redid the Regedit after I changed the resolution in-game, and now I have a FUNCTIONAL MAIN MENU!

And the game comes in Natural Borderless Windowed now. For me. Assuming all the unnatural messing around was natural.

In other news nGlide's screen resolution caused problems when set to byApp(default). Just switch to by Desktop. All other stuff can be left default. I'm still not sure if the compatibility modes did anything.
