Played many RTS games in the past that usually start fairly easy enough to get you playing and then ramp up the diffuclty

Bought homeworld deserts of kharak as it looked good and its a lovely looking game but the difficulty is madness.

I must be doing something wrong as I have it on easy and I get obliterated every time on the boneyard mission. No matter what I seem to do I get overun with enemy and destroyed.

I only wish I had not bought this as a digital download as I cannot now sell it... waste of money

Have you considered getting help with a walkthrough?

I loved the game but I needed a little assist from time to time.

I think I need something... as I said I have played many RTS games - sudden stike etc etc.... but this is crazy... the enemy seem to keep comiong and coming with no let up and I have very little resourses so cannot build much. In the boneyard mission there seems to be two piles of resources and once they have gone that is it or am I missing something. I build my units and they are destroyed and then my main ship is destroyed and its over.

Not sure what the easy level suppoed to do as I used that thinking I could get through on that but no

Are you using Pause & Play? The GOG version was pretty late getting that update but I think they finally did. Boneyard is the first mission you need it because you are controlling several groups on totally different ends of the map.

Thank you I will look at that... what is pause and play ? Do you mean just pausing the game from time to time to think (and take some tablets or something ) :)

You can pause and give orders while the game is paused. That way you can go from unit to unit and make sure they are doing what you want and need them to do without fear of the being rushed.

Some people call that cheating, and with a game like Warcraft 2 it might be, but the maps are SOOOO big in Kharak. There is no way you can cover it all while the clock is running.

Ah right so do I just hit the P (pause) as normal or some special pause
