I am an Harry Potter fan and I hope I'm not the only one here ;) If so, I'm sure that you heard about that new Wizards game that is going to be released next year.

Are you going to buy it or you prefer to wait a bit more to see how is the game?
I played the first two Harry Potter games and they were great, but we need something new!

I would really love to buy the game here on GOG, b̶u̶t̶ ̶n̶o̶w̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶a̶n̶n̶o̶u̶n̶c̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶W̶B̶ ̶a̶c̶c̶o̶u̶n̶t̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶r̶e̶q̶u̶i̶r̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶y̶, I 'm not really sure that it will land here ;(

If you want to vote, there is already a game wishlist entry here

edit: seems that they changed their mind about needing to link a WB account to the game, just look at this tweet

I am Harry Potter fan, but seriously I doesn't think that this is good source material for games. HP books was good because many elements - characters, humour, intelligent foreshadowing... but wroldbuilding is rather weak.

With this game they are discovering new parts of the wizarding world which weren't narred in the books, and that, for me, is the interesting part: it isn't another game with Harry Potter, it's an all new story, even before Fantastic Beasts movies, with all new characters, and it's made by Harry Potter fans, so I don't want more, it's an instabuy for me, and for what I've seen it's awesome!
Hogwarts Legacy official gameplay reveal (14:43)

It looks simply gorgeous. Every single object looks lovingly crafted. I tend to avoid anything resembling "hype" but it's hard not to look forward to this one. I hope the rest of it is as good as the graphics and the artistic direction.

Unfortunately, we can probably expect an 8-year delay until it comes to GOG with no online features, same as Shadow of Mordor.

This is going to be a single-player only game so there should be no need for online features. There is also no mention of any in the Q&A, ticking all the right boxes to have me feel excited way in advance of release. This hasn't happen in a long time.

I used to like the original Harry Potter books and at least some of the movies. When J.K. Rowling started introducing changes, new lore and forcing her own views and ideas on the world in an desperate attempt to keep the universe alive, I have just kept moving on. I am glad that she isn't involved in the production and this game not revolving around well-known original or tacked-on characters from spin-offs. It will start with a clean slate and a fresh Hogwarts.

If only half of what's promised developers manage to realize, this is going to be a pleasure to play. Let's hope it will also someday be released on GOG, this would be wonderful. :-)
As long as She who must not be named is kept out of the project, and the latter day garbage she wrote is kept out, as Mori gently implies, things should be fine.

Hogwarts is no Unseen University, as the late Sir Terry Pratchett was absolutely detail oriented in how the cogs all linked together in his little world. There is a lot of potential in Hogwarts, but a lot of the lore would have to be trashed/retconned/rewritten. Since even before the lore went full stupid, there were stupid and/or uncomfortable elements, such as the house elves.

No matter how you slice it, there's some definite Colonialism elements in the HP books.
