I see from time to time the various Goodie Pack's offers but I always refrain from accepting them because of the agreeing to receive marketing communications on my email an other GOG services.
I was waiting for Planet Of Lana and today I see it's offered as as Goodie Pack, so my question is:
If I accept the terms and I add the game to my library, I'll get those marketing emails forever from now on or it'll be for a limited time, like monhts/ a year?

Thanks

You can unsubscribe in settings, obviously.
It just flips your 'subscriptions' settings to On, which you can disable at any time from your settings. There are no permanent consequences.
I see, thanks both of you for your quick replies and explanation.

Which I always flip back to Off as soon as I claim whatever a promo is offering. Always.

Agreeing with all that they said above, but the parts I bolded in your quote make me think you believe the game itself is being given away in this goodie pack. It is not. The contents of the pack are art assets — more precisely wallpapers, concept art and screenshots.

you're right joppo, I thought so initially then it came to me that it couldn't be like that for a newly released game.

Though given the PRICE of the goodie pack listed on the store page... I could see how someone might think the actual game might come with that pack. O.O Crikey!

Wallpapers 18 MB
Concept Art 36 MB
Screenshots 16 MB

USD$99.99 for 70MB of artwork, for a game selling (full-price) at $19.99. lol.

I mean, is there a problem with receiving emails and simply deleting them? I don't turn them off because free stuff is frequent enough that I find it pointless and harmless to receive emails, but apparently some users take too much offense to that.

To answer your question, you can turn it off, but it'll just keep turning back on every time you collect the free stuff. I see no reason not to get free stuff, so if that annoys you enough to skip out, then more power to you.

Like everything it's down to preference. Some people just can't stand receiving constant sales etc emails from GOG. Personally I just delete them too, but I can appreciate they're a bit frequent and quite obnoxious with their subject titles that it would drive some people to drink.

I can appreciate some people don't like it. I don't really mind - the email address I use is just one of many.

If nothing else, I got quite good deals through them, or at least I got SimCity games and Pillars of Eternity II at good discounts. They also notify me if a game is on sale on my wishlist since I don't always log into GOG to check. A lot of it is trash, but it's like, a few emails every few days is just a few clicks into the bin. Unless of course some users are pestered more often than others.

EDIT: Okay, after checking my emails, I have noticed that quite a few are like every day to every other day. That will probably bother people who get a lot of emails every day and don't want that junk clogging up their inbox, especially if they're notified every time.
