Alright, series then. My English is fairly mediocre so easy not to get the words just right. The 2200G is a Zen chip, then came Zen+ and then the Zen2 numered 3500 upwards on desktops.

Oh, I didn't mean that... your English is just fine. It's me... generation just sounds like it should be a little bit closer to the concept of "human generations".
But well, cockroaches have generations too! :-P

I thought the 2000 series Ryzens were Zen+? And 1000 series were Zen, and 3000 series were Zen2?

And I believe all of the Athlons (even the new 3000g) are Zen, not Zen+, or Zen2. Can anyone confirm?

The best explanation I've seen about this is, every chip with integrated graphics lag a "generation" behind on the Cpu itself.

Wich make next generation mobile freaking great :D

Thing is, they are not lying, we just assume how things are. Either way, there are a lot of reasons for AMD to name the current lineup, not that I agree :D
The competitors are currently way weirder in names... Miss the Nvidia 2** to 10** naming scheme... So easy to get.

It's an excellent processor that won't hold you back in gaming

It depends on resolution. Right now you can get an RX 590 from overclockers for £150 - which is a very good deal (an employee stated this deal is expiring very soon). Otherwise a 1660 Super for £200 is a nice step up (but the cooler isn't great).

But for £250 you can get a 5700 for a whole level more of future proofing and performance:

Those are great value cards right now and for 1920x1080 @60Hz that should be perfect for a few years. It's about 50% more performance so you can ramp up settings

The new 5500 XTs that are coming out will cost more but offer about the same performance

Just saw the review of the 5500XT 8 Gigs. Rx480 power consumption with Rx580 performance, same price as a similar performace card released 3 years ago.
Since AMD didn't lower Rx580 prices this was kinda expected...

Glad you didn't wait for the 5500XT, enjoy your card, still very good.
