Okay, I've had it with this BS, every platform does this to some degree, some more fair than others, but GoG, of all the stores, GoG is the worst offender...

I am extremely disappointed, this is not acceptable.

A price difference of 27%, where the VAT is 20% for a EU Based company.

How much more sht are people willing to take before someone actually important says something about it?

I supported GoG because I felt like it was putting customer trust and freedom in the forefront, but now I see is that they are just another choice for who I want to be shafted by.

No, I was changing regions to see different prices, it's stuck in US now :/

If you really don't want or simply cannot pay the amount specific to your region you could always try the VPN-route, see if other regional prices are more affordable/acceptable for you.
CDPR/GoG likely aren't too fond of this practise, but it's not like they can do anything about it either.
As long as you pre-order/buy on GoG it's probably OK'ish with them too.

I did, in the end, resort to a VPN to check the prices, a friend of mine helped me w/ a VPN service.
Using a VPN will require me to setup a new GoG account and send the original game as a gift to myself, as logging in with my current account would change the price.

It's funny how Russian and Turkish prices can be as low as 25% of the original price, despite their countries having higher income than mine.
Welcome to the joys of regional prices. In the EU because we are a "single market", we get to pay what the rich people do. But to be fair it's the same thing everywhere else too (Steam & co).

The problem is that the currency exchange for most countries can vary wildly from day to day, so they have to ensure that they're not selling games at a loss. I also have an online business that sells a lot of product outside my own country, and the Canadian exchange rate changes all of the time, so doing business with the U.S. is never the same on any given day. Think of what GOG has to go through in order to keep all prices fair in so many different countries. They're not trying to rip you off. They are a small company that has to keep their pricing competitive, or the game publishers won't want to release their games on their platform.

Are you sure it's not just the exchange rate that's accounting for the difference? I don't know what currencies you selected but the difference between Canadian and US dollars for me is about 30%.
Unless there's a new law introduced to prevent these silly regional rip-offs, nobody right in their mind will rob themself from earning extra shillings by charging an extra premium price for random regions.

Sadly, customers' rights in digital enviroment are still in their infancy and this is one of those things that won't stand the test of time. Hopefully.
