that really is mean. the offline installers can no longer be downloaded because i get 504 error independent of game i try to download. it was previously required for installing certain games like carmageddon.

Actually, I can't download from Galaxy either, they're obviously having server issues right now.

3- Conclusion

Don't be too quick to jump the gun.

Err, dude, you're totally wrong. In fact, looks like GOG's servers went tits-up. I've been trying to downloading via Galaxy and via web browser just now, and nothing wants to download.

Fix your shit, GOG! I want my Transport Fever 2 fix, damn you!

No issues on my end (website)
Download via browser works for me.
Galaxy download returns 'Server error'.
All we can do is wait. :(
Thing is the whole site is very unresponsive right now but as usual it's the load under large sales i assume which is a common issue.

no matter how you look at it, i am not totally wrong. carmageddon`s offline installer is not working and never installs anything. only way to install carmageddon is through galaxy. to make matter worse: gog galaxy will not install.

It's something wrong on your side.
I'm always install my games via offline installers & everything works like a charm.

Try support.

support could not help me install carmageddon through the offline installer. the problem is that the installer is incomplete, it does not contain all of the files. it is around 200 megabytes while the game takes 500.

*fondles his 5TB USB hard drive containing all his 1785 GOG game installers*
My Precious... *GOLUM!* *GOLUM!*

I knew there is a good reason to download all my games, for situations like this. :)

(well ok, I admit, I haven't downloaded the Linux versions yet even though I've thought about it, but then quite often the Linux version apparently is just the Windows version + Wine, so they are of less importance to me even though I am ramping up my gaming (also) on Linux).

I just tried it and Carmageddon installs and plays just fine, using the offline installer.

The reason the installer is smaller than the actual game installation is naturally because the files are compressed in the installer. They get uncompressed during the installation, hence the installation is 569MB.

Well, looks like it sorted itself out not long after. Just finished the 15GB download.

That wouldn't do you a lick of good for a game that just came out. "Yes, I'll take a download from the future, please!" =P
