UPDATE: RESOLVED

To resolve this I went through the Control Panel and manually repaired all instances of VC_Redist that I could and the client launched. No idea.

I am getting this error every time I try to run the client.

Steps I have tried:

Reinstalling DirectX including deleting the .dll files
Reinstalling the latest .net Framework
Uninstalling Vcredist x86 and x64
Repairing Vcredit x86 and x64

Coud you give us a bit more details so it can be easier to help you out?
Give us your System Specs, OS you are running, what you were doing or trying to do, is it the first time that happened?

Also I researched about the 0xc000007b error and found out this youtube video which a guy shows a solution to make it stop I´m not sure if it will solve your problem but it doesnt hurt to try.

Windows 7 64-bit. I was just trying to install the launcher.

I watched that video to no avail. I was able to fix it though, and have edited my original post.

Try to remove GoG and install as administrator and not on the system drive, it helped me.

You'll be glad to know, you don't need the annoying client to access your games.
Just download the game installers from your account. Simple! https://www.gog.com/en/account
Remove all Visual C++ installed and install only supported versions (both 32 & 64 bit)

Can confirm.

If you are having this problem on Windows10/11
- go to your windows search bar and type add or remove programs
- Once there in the search apps bar type C++
-click on the three dots next to the program and select uninstall
- do this for ever one of them except the 2015-2022 x64 and x86
