Hi everyone.

I'm posting this because I can't figure out how to set a personal download location for the Games and Extra files.

In settings, I have this: M:\Program Files\GOG\GOG Galaxy\Games\!Downloads\temp

I want to change it to: M:\Program Files\GOG\GOG.Downloads\Games

The problem is every time I restart the GOG Galaxy client, the previous setting comes back!

Does anyone have a clue?
Thanks

It used to work without any problems, unfortunately something changed..
As I said in
the Galaxy beta thread, you have to make sure you have a permission to modify registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GOG.com\
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\GOG.com\
Simply amazing!

Even if my Windows account belongs to administrators group AND administrators group having full control on:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GOG.com\
Well, wasn't enough...

So I gave my account full control on that registry key (didn't touch the other key since I already had full control on) and now evething works fine!

Thanks a lot mike_cesara!

Gees, Windows and users rights... real pain... :o(

You're very welcome thequeen! Glad to be of help : )
Can someone please help me. I have looked at over 10 threads that all say to click on the cog but the problem is there is no cog anywhere on my screen. I have clicked every menu button and read every letter of text on every page of this galaxy beta but I see nothing that will allow me to change my install path.

All I want to do is play the witcher 3 on my pc. I'm not asking for much.

Starting a thread of your own would probably get you more help than posting in someone else's solved question thread. ; )

I think settings are located under gog.com logo now, right above your list of installed games.

Yeah probably but I eventually found it so it's all good.

Thanks a lot for the help. I actually ended up finding it like 20 min after posting this. I was about to lose it. In my opinion that is a terrible place to put the settings. They should always go somewhere on the main page.

Thanks again

OK, so that's been found but what value do we enter?

Did it ever strike you as a possibility that Galaxy has changed a lot during the 3½ years since the start of this thread?
