I know GoG's decision to hide the downloader links away in a sub menu has been of major annoyance to a lot of people, so I've thrown together a little script that puts them back on the main game page under the normal download links.
It's not particularly pretty, but it does the job, I'll probably do some more work on it later when I have time.

As for installing it, you can find instructions on installing users scripts or [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/barefoot_essentials_2_gogcom_enhancement]here so I won't repeat them again. Basically get yourself Greasemonkey or Tampermonkey.

To install the script just visit this page and click on the button labelled 'Raw'.

It just adds the list that is available on the current GoG Downloader Links page underneath the other installers. Like I said, it doesn't look the best but it does the job. I've tried it on a few different game pages and it seems to be fine, but it may cut some things off on games with longer lists of files/installers.

Anyway, enjoy :)
Thank you very much for the effort! (+1 for that) Works great for me thus far but i only tested it for a couple of games as of yet.

Good to hear :)

The actual links should hopefully not be a problem (although I could see it possibly not updating them when you change between games, but hopefully the way I've done it means that it should always do so) it's the formatting that might become an issue (thanks to the very basic list GoG has used that I just copied), but that being said I looked at the Witcher (which seems to have the most language and OS options that I could see) and all the downloads were showing right down to the goodies link so maybe that won't be a problem either.

As i said all links i tried worked flawlessly but I might do some more in-depth testing tomorrow and give you feedback afterwards :)

Please do, I haven't got the time to test it too thoroughly at the moment so (as usual) I'll leave any finding of bugs to you guys :)

Nice work, adaliabooks. +3.
I won't be installing this one, as I don't use the downloader, but I do appreciate the need for such a script from other people's complaints.

P.S. Have you seen this "outsourcing" thread of mine?

Alright :)
Well done, adaliabooks!

Haven't tested it yet, but looks good, especially after increasing the font size of the actual links (default is too small for my ageing eyes).

Cheers.

@GOG

In your next Q&A, if you ever do one again, don't forget to mention adaliabooks and mrkgnao along with Barefoot_Monkey as the tireless community members who do things that actually adds functionality to the site, and enhance our GOG experience.
Oh, also add Eli to the list.

Yeah, I don't use it much myself (mainly as I don't often get new games and don't have a particularly huge collection) otherwise I might have done it sooner, but I know a lot of people were wanting it so I figured it couldn't be too hard to do.

I hadn't seen it previously but I've looked now, I probably don't have the time at the moment but I will certainly look into it and see what's possible.

Ah, well I did shrink the text slightly to make it less obtrusive and to reduce the risk of it overrunning and hiding some of the links, but if you can increase it yourself then that's not a major issue... if people want I can make it a little bigger by default.

When I get some time I'll try and improve the formatting a bit, like removing the empty headers but I just did it quickly so only did a little formatting to make it fit in.

Glad you like it, and thanks :)

Well, I increased it only a tiny bit, but changing the font colour and weight works even better. :-)
I did some more testing with it and and it still works flawless for me :).

But i think it might be nice to have a language / OS dropdown similar to the regular downloads - if that's possible of course...
That way the link list could be much shorter.

The main problem is that there's no particular order to the list of links (as in they're not nested logically in HTML that would make it easier to sort them) but it's probably possible to do something, I just don't really have the time right now to put more work into it. Once things have quietened back down for me I'll polish it up a bit.

Glad it's all working though :)

Well it's not urgent to have that - it works fine without any further changes to it (at least for me) :)
