Every time I download something via GoG Downloader, the HD activity goes up to 100%. Which is odd, because the data transfer is very low.
I don`t know why this happens, but it slows down my system.
Anyone else with this problem?

My HD activity has occasional 100% spikes but seems to stay quite steady at around 20%. The spikes seem to be connected to other stuff going on in the background like the virus checker doing its thing. I haven't noticed any specific slowdown of my system although I find that I can't download too much else without slow d/l speeds but I guess that's to be expected.

If your drive is ok (I assume it would be if it's just this one issue), it must be a background process that's not getting on with your GoG download.

Try a selective startup and then download.
