Probably the room cleaning service who needed that plug for the vacuum.

No joke, that happened at a science lab where I was working. Someone from the room cleaning service pulled the plug from the main server to vacuum the server room...

Does every game on the front page appear to be free for everyone else when they aren't signed in?
(Normal prices are there when you do sign in though.)

Yes. All games that aren't discounted are shown as free. The discounted ones are shown with the correct price.
