When I load the forum pages, I can see that it loads something from Facebook. How comes? Is the forum somehow connected to Facebook?

It's either for the social media button / link at the bottom of the page, or for tracking purposes.

Facebook button on bottom left of pages linking to their social networking on FB. You'll find half the web does that, but you can block it if you wish using RequestPolicyContinued if you use Firefox. Ditto with Twitter/Reddit/whatever.

FWIW, I follow GoG on Facebook (as well as Twitter) so they definitely have a presence there.
