Atreyu666: Money saved is money earned! :)
Mobeeuz: No, money saved is just money spent elsewhere ;)
Would be hard paying for an 5090 without leaving so many games "out" in the rain; but it seems like the destiny is embracing me.
Problem is: My car did cost me a lot in repairs and taxes this year along with countless other costs, so, gamer stuff is far from being the only things i have to pay. Life is expensive... especially a life in the most greedy age ever.
Whats better? 300 really good and customer friendly games using a 5090 or 400 not always really good and not always very customer friendly games by using a half that powerful card? Yeah... i know my deal and how to achieve maximum quality in life with the coins i got.
Anyway, i can still not play them all... lets face it. I am happy some companies are making it way easier to me "making my choice".
Mobeeuz: No, money saved is just money spent elsewhere ;)
Atreyu666: Only for hot dogs and donuts!
My brother is indeed NOT spending any money saved "elsewhere", with the exception of investment, shares and everything that will create even more money. He would never spend a single coin on a donut nor any games, not even on a car, simply nothing. Apart from playing darts he does not even know the word "game". I keep my mouth shut... i know what i enjoy, but in most cases it is like ice and fire compared to many other people.
JamesBond007: I don't think Sony will leave GOG players with unfinished story and eventually Ragnarok will be available DRM-Free, without PSN account requirement. I would expect a GOG release in 2026-2028.
You can be glad you are not a hamster, else you may most certainly not survive the "waiting time".
Besides, another truth to me: AMD currently was demolishing Intels CPUs, which is a good thing because those "3D Zen CPUs" are the best thing gamers ever could be dreaming of... so the CPU future is bright for gamers. There is one thing that is not so bright though: The current RDNA 3 and even 3.5-4 simply can not challenge Nvidia anymore, as the architecture simply is weaker, so they are not even bothering providing a flagship anymore. RDNA 2 (not for RT but power efficiency was even better = great console GPU) was at the same level and actually one of the biggest steps AMDs Radeon ever had. However, RDNA 3 surely was a failure and RDNA 3.5 up to 4 is simply "repairing the bad design with new technology so it may at least not lose even more ground vs. Nvidia". Maybe... who knows.... RDNA 5 could be a new "huge step", this is not impossible because AMD seems to be some sort of Phoenix able to "raise themself out of the ashes, all of a sudden"... just look at ZEN... it was destroying Intel and no one ever would have placed any bid on it... it was just way to unrealistic of a scenario. Basically the Phoenix that was suddenly turning the pot upside down (or downside up). Still, as long as AMD is not able to raise the RDNA to a new level, Nvidia can charge almost any price they enjoy, at least for the flagships.

You see, there's a trend right now on the internet (I'm not saying you're doing that) that is quite annoying: some people are now talking about how "because apparently the majority of players online are hating forced changes to beloved classic characters" it means that people that want to preserve characters the way they were originally created already "won this fight".
This is not true, as data shows its not that simple because there are really ideological people on leadership positions making decisions that affect such characters deliberately as a means to force or, as they say, 'educate society' to accept their own world views and existential beliefs.
Well, social discussions are valid, as we know, so there's no real problem on trying to convince others of your opinions. But when -such methods- are applied we are right to complain.
As far as i can tell, because complicated matter as long as i lack sufficient transparency: Those "forced changes for good, or in order to become a better human/society" are most likely worse than not to make any "forced changes" at all. Instead of trying to force mental stuff, it is better to achieve understanding for each others in a non forced way... using our heart. As long as it is forced... in some way, i think in long term it will not bring us together... rather "bring us apart". Although, this is the failure of the current age in which conflicts are being grown like mushrooms on a huge farm without truly considering the long term effects, which brings along distrust in a society already "full of distrust". Clearly not the right path... but i am not the one in charge, it is the gamers or we all... who will make it work or simply not.
