The "new, better" THQ 64 bit re-release is crap; the melee bug with the block/counterparry is nullifying any satisfaction from participating in melee. And that's only a single bug; there are extra new ones introduced too (in place of those few old ones that were eliminated, I suppose).
Knowing THQ's history with the other re-released titles and seeing they had financial restructuring as of lately, they won't address this anytime soon, and now we are left with this botched release that's gonna be used by everyone by default, since there's no alternative available.
Add the "old" installer back to the offline installers tab for the game, please. I need it, since it's the only one that's majorly compatible with the various tools and source codes (for plugins) created by the community before the THQ re-release.
And while you would be adding it back, please remove the sub-installer for nVidia PhysX Legacy package. Risen runs perfectly with the newest PhysX (9.21.0713, dated 15.10.2021) bundle. It was also confirmed by NicoDE (nickname of one of the main coders of the title) that you don't need the legacy package, because Risen uses v2.8.1 of PhysX and that version is included in the newest package from above [even though the game would run on the Legacy version of up to 2.7.2].
Be a distributor that fixed a problem that a publisher created: we need access to a proper 32 bit installer of Risen.
Cheerio.
