Definitely a step up from the prior Dotemu PC port. Will we be seeing Code Mystics' other SNK ports replacing more of the Dotemu ones? I think I heard Samurai Shodown 5 was done by them for Steam.

Samurai Shodown 5 Special was updated to the Code Mystics version some time ago. Here is the news post.
