just wondering what your gamma settings are set to and are they adequate.i currently have a tv hooked up to my pc and currently it is set to limited RGB even though my tv can fuly handle full RGB.. problem is there is always a movie/game too dark. even with limited rgb + gamma boosted on my tv, some things are still too dark. on the other hand full rgb makes colours look sooo good. but then dark movies are just worse. how do you configure your displays/gpus?
This is really impossible to answer ;)
It might be that the backlight of your screen or tv is darker/brighter than someone elses, or that its adapting the brightness depending on whats on screen, could also be that the default color correction is off and so on. the only way to get completely accurate colours is by using a hardware calibrator.
Two of my screens are exactly the same type but one is older and i had to set the brightness a little bit higher, for example.

Hm but since its a tv it might have a dynamic contrast setting thats on, might be worth a try to disable that (personally id always disable stuff like that on a computer screen...), or maybe look for a gaming mode - usually a low latency mode that basically removes most picture enhancements, at least on Samsung TVs. None of those are needed for games for example but they could adapt the contrast so much that a dark game just gets all black in some areas).
i should probably point out that this is the case with every display i have ever owned including multiple tv screens and multiple computer screens over multiple connections hdmi / others

I set it to whatever my colour calibrator say. When I was using cheap monitors the calibrator wasn't getting the right colours and light so adjusted that by comparing photos printed in labs.
