Quest for Glory 5 in the late 90s. Got the Anthology and thoroughly enjoyed every game except 3, which had Ubisoft-level QA.
Final Fantasy 7. I don't think very highly of the first 4 games, but after that I love every one up until 11.
Baldur's Gate 2, kinda. I tried BG:EE much more recently. I find the story and setting much more pedestrian. BG2 has much more of a ''hook'' in the intro dungeon, even though everyone gets sick of it on repeated playthroughs. BG2 just seems more imaginative with more interesting characters and plotlines.
