dtgreene: Then there's the fact that, on game specific forums, technical questions seem to be a lot more common than game related topics. I would like to see more discussion on the sub-forums about the actual games! (The Elder Scrolls series sub-forum could you some love, for example; we need more discussion about the early games in that series!)
I agree - even though I don't recall seeing anyone discourage casual discussions in most of my preferred subforums. My ability to help with technical problems is very limited, so I derive much enjoyment from simply talking about the games in question. The QFG section has some nice threads covering trivia and lore, while the Lords of the Realm and Constructor sections have helpful threads dedicated to strategy. I don't frequent the Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale sections, but I'm surprised to hear about those comments. Passionate, on-topic discussions should be viewed as integral to this community.
I'm gonna hijack this thread because the GOG forum script won't allow me to post a new thread an I'n a INSANE GAMER! :)

Inane posting!
And then I drew a blank. Where's the Joker when you need him?

Hyperventilating can kill you.

Alright, thinking then.

You can over-think on a specific thing, but I don't believe you can think too much in general (others might disagree though).

Well, I'll meet you half way there. I don't think you can think too much, but I think you can over think.

For sure, you can obsess over a particular topic to think about, but I don't think you can reach the point where you can see "Geez, I've thought about everything and there is no point in me thinking further...".

Also, thinking is something you can do when engaging in pretty much any activity (even while socializing and exercising or while falling asleep for that matter).

So there you go, thinking in general (assuming you don't over-fixate on a particular topic).

You can think about certain things too much. :P

For sure, you can append any word(s) after "thinking about" and say you can do too much of it, but thinking in general? Na :P.

Admittedly, thinking is a very broad topic.

I'm going cross-eyed here.
After some consideration, I think that this piece of news is not as bad as it sounds. After all there IS already eating disoder (several kinds in fact) and yet no one prohibits food or forbids eating.

So what about spending endless hours glued to your mobile phone like normies do, is that a mental disorder too?

trust me non-gamers see us as lazy, slothfull slobs that want to do nothing but sit around and waste time, I had a relative recently tell me "you need to get your fat ass outside and do something worth while"
My reply "like what you do? drink drive and get arresrted for being a moron? or find someone who deals drugs so I can ruin my life completely?" that person has shut up and left me alone since.
