It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

is this a cruel joke of some kind?
web browser shelf has option (which is what i use) to sort by purchase date. galaxy client does not?
honestly, WTFF? yes, two Fs.

putrid vile client.

there are around NINE other means to sort by, but for whatever IDIOTIC (no, no way it is somehow technical) reason sorting by purchase date is not there - yet it is via browser.

i want to see my games by purchase date in client. what reason, other than to make it very hard to check for things, is there?

ABSOLUTE BASTARDS!!!

===> BACK UP ALL YOUR GAMES FOR THE TIME WILL COME...
Can't say I've ever thought to have that option. Does Steam have it? I never looked for it.

There is a "recent" tab that shows you the last 10 or so games you bought.
Just as a hint - not problem related: Galaxy offers an additional textfield for sorting by name. This way, you can group and sort games of a series which have titles that don't sort in the right order. I didn't notice that functionality for a long time, but now that I saw it I love it. Finally indiana_jones_3, indiana_jones_4, indiana_jones_5, indiana_jones_6

ps: Already backed up my games, that's what I use gogrepoc for :)

Lots of things, nice avat, is better trough the browser, up the browsers, profiles can play yt songs without adds, Galaxy good for achievements and saves
I use Galaxy as the new "downloader", but since you can't sort according to recent additions, I have to get the game list from the browser to know which games to look for in Galaxy. That can't be the right solution.

Question is: Why would you look for recently bought games in the first place. Because of the offline installers?
What do you do with games that have been updated? Those would not show as "recently bought" in the first place.
Maybe there is a entirely different (and hopefully better) solution to what you are trying to accomplish.

ps: It's clear that we don't have the gogdownloader anymore. What would be cool however would be if the button on the website was to return, but this time it would not start gogdownloader of course, but tell Galaxy to download the installers.

Of course to download the offline istallers. And what old games that got released here quite some time ago would get another update? And the few cases where that happens, I can download them if I need the newer version.

Happens more often than you think - at least once your library reaches a certain size. If you have only a few games, sorting options won't make much of a difference in the first place. Recent examples are: Master of Orion Classic or Mount&Blade.

The point is that you won't notice when it happens.
If you want to create a archive of all offline installers, the best way would be to use a script tool like gogrepoc.

I run it once in a while to see what has been added or updated, then write the ids into a textfile (I still do that manually) and run the download in backrground.
