Hallo dear Gog fellas,

I was sadly not successful with finding the pre-order wallpapers bonuses for full throttle. Are they already available for us and if they are, where should i look for them? I checked where usually the goodies are but i was not able to find a submenu for them.

Thank you for answering :) Just a part of the gog statement about the pre-order is puzzling me: "Get your desktops dressed for the occasion, with four mighty fine wallpapers available as a pre-order bonus!" . I just assumed that the bonuses are already available. This is my first (and probably last pre-order) and i am not familiar with how the pre-orders work exactly. Anyway, i am really thankful for the answer.

I can see why this statement could generate confusion. They really should make it clear about the availability of the files.
No idea why they decided to lock these extras.
It would be more sensible to reward its fans, not force them to wait an entire month to download simple wallpapers.

When games have items available for download immediately on pre-order they always state that clearly on the game page. If it doesn't say you can download them immediately while you wait (like some games have previously) then that probably isn't the case. If GOG has been given wallpaper for the game by the publisher and is not under any legal agreement to not provide it early then they probably would make it available however as they've done so in the past with other games. It stands to reason that either they have not been given the files or that they haven't been given a green light to make them available to people ahead of time.

The best thing for people to do is to contact GOG technical support and politely inquire about the files indicating a desire to be able to download them early if possible. If they're unable to do so for some reason however, it's not really the end of the world to wait a few weeks for some trivial bonus items really is it? :P I mean it's not going to make the actual game worse which is the whole point for buying it right? :)

Well, except for the people who bought it just for the wallpaper who don't want to actually play the game of course. :P

Thank you for clarifying. I just do not have any history with pre-ordes and i was wondering if there is not a technical problem, which i was experiencing. I know that my question may seem somewhat stupid and i am sorry if that is the case.As i pointed in my last post, just the tense of the gog statement confused me. If it was "will be available" instead of just just "available" my confusion would not have happen.
However, i want to thank you and almabrds for explaining me how the pre-order works.
