I have a good number of folk on my FRIEND's list at GOG ... 32 right now. I did have 33, but that person has disappeared yet again and I cannot contact them due to their settings.
I do not have daily conversations with any of the folk on my list, and don't expect them to do so, as I imagine they are at GOG like me, catching up on sales and posting or replying in the general forum etc. So I am kind of in and out maybe twice a day. I don't hang around for live chats, so they happen infrequently.
When it comes to adding new friends, one pre-requisite is I must be able to access their Profile and learn something about them. And sending them a message in Chat is often necessary too, to query why that someone wants to be a friend.
I won't mention who the supposed friend is that likes to play yo-yo with our friendship, but I am tired of playing games.
You seem so desperate for friendship, and I was happy to oblige because you appeared to need that contact, but as I made clear to you, don't expect too much ... don't expect me to instantly reply, even on a daily basis to posts you do in Chat. My life is busy, and you are not high on my agenda, especially as I don't really know you. I am doing you more a favor than you are doing me. If you can accept that, then fine I am happy to be your friend. If you can't, then don't contact me again for friendship.
GOG friends by their very nature are long distance online friends only, except for the few that are more than that. There is usually nothing deep in our relationship, if we don't also have a relationship outside of GOG. So it is generally just a passing friendship, where maybe we like each other for some reason or have something in common. Perhaps one day it might lead to something else ... who knows.

P.S. Please folk, mention no names. Some of you might know who I am referring to, but that person has some issues, and doesn't need to be spotlighted and condemned in public ... they have enough trouble coping ... so be kind.
