MayorYoda: Name one of your favourite game or book or perhaps a movie and it can be a show.
One favourite in each category...

Books: The Neuromancer
Movies: The Rocky Horror Picture Show
TV Series: Good Omens
Games: Thief - Deadly Shadows
Book: Much of Terry Pratchett's bibliography
Movie: Face/Off or Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade
Game: Monkey Island 2 or Morrowind
Movie: The Vast of Night (it took me 36 years to finally have a favorite one)
Game: Resident Evil 2 (the 1998 one)
Book: The Lost World (the Michael Crichton one)
Film: Terminator
Game: Shogun Total War
Book: Endgame by Tom Clancy
Hello everyone!

I am following the others and mention my favourite in each category.

Movie: "The Flight of the Navigator"
Book: Robert Stevenson's "Treasure Island"
Game: (This one is difficult and depends on so many factors... that is why I am naming one of my favourites from my childhood instead) "Chip n Chap (/Chip n Dale) Rescue Rangers" on the NES

Kind regards,
foxgog

BreOl72: Books: The Neuromancer
I found the audiobook by the author (BBC) to be superior to the original text tbh.
Not arguing - just suggesting you look for it on pootube or summat.

Hi foxgog! Excellent choice, definitely one of my favorites! :)

And taking pirates as inspiration, some of my picks:

Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Book: Robert Stevenson-Treasure Island
Game: Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES)

I need more pirates related vgaming
& rewatch all those great old pirates movies (if I find them)!
Book: Hogfather by Terry Pratchett
Game: Tough one but probably Baldur's Gate 2
Movie: Lord of the Rings trilogy or Shawshank Redemption

I prefer to read my books.

Btw: the BBC thing is a "radio play"...not an "audio book".
Two complete different media.

Actually you are not quite correct. They did produce a "radio play" (radio-drama), but theres also a version where Gibson themself read the book / novella and its that version I'm referring to.

Changes from time to time, but right now it's probably:

Book: James Clavell's Noble House (or possibly Peter F. Hamilton's Knight's Dawn trilogy)
Movie: The Big Lebowski (or Hot Fuzz, so hard to choose...)
TV series: Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett (or Yes, Minister, or Columbo, or His Dark Materials, or Black Adder, aaaaargh.....)
Game: Spyro the Dragon (or Shadow Tactics, or Broken Sword, or Lemmings, or H.E.R.O, or Simon Tathams puzzle collection, or ######CENSORED#####)
Movie:
- The Goonies (there was something really special about that adventure at the time and it's still special to me)

Game:
- Secret of Silver Blades (probably because I used to read the Forgotten Realms book series a lot, multiple times)

Book(s):
- Eye of the World by Robert Jordan (RIP) (it was a tale that ignited my imagination of an incredible fantasy world and so many diverse and wonderful characters)

- Elfquest by Wendy & Richard Pini (it was a graphic novel, but it was one of the most beautifully illustrated tales I have ever read. It stirred so many emotions in me. I mean these comments for the original 4 book tale in the series)

[Note: I'm including the listt below, since TV Shows should also be a part of the post] =P

TV Show:
- M.A.S.H (a show that had both a serious side and a comedic side, about a war that was terrible as all wars are. I probably watched this series (11 seasons) dozens of times and would still watch it again...if I hand't canceled Hulu..)
.
