Outside scandinavia, it seems to be a difficult find at the moment.

Amazon.com will apparently have both the DVD and Blu-Ray available on August 23, I assume the Amazon instant video thingie will have it available at around the same date.

Amazon UK doesn't have it either, but it's interesting that they seem to have titled the poster with definitely Norwegian text "German".

Well, the wife and I watched Insidious over the weekend and I was a bit disappointed. It started off well enough. But about twenty to thirty minutes in they telegraphed the plot to the point where you knew how things were going to go for the next hour. The ending was also predictable, imo.

It's not a bad film, per se. There are a couple of decent creepy moments (mostly early on). But some folks I had spoken with gave it a hearty recommendation and it didn't really live up to that billing.

Hmm, well I've waited this long I guess I can wait another month *sigh*.

Favourite: Blade Runner

Recommendation:
There is no point in recommending Blade Runner as most people who are likely to enjoy it have seen it, however, surprisingly few people (in Norway, at least) has seen Moon. So my recommendation would be:

Heh, your name reflects your taste in movies. Also, I second Moon. Sam Rockwell is amazing in it and Kevin Spacey as the voice of an AI is great.

Such a great film. One of my favourite score/soundtracks too. I love the commentary on it also, hearing how they really worked with the budget they had ( crew bringing in items from home to furnish sets) made me appreciate the movie even more. Though being Bowies son could not of hurt ;-)

I'm a bit all over the map as far as movie favorites go. I really like Anti-Trust, but I also really enjoy Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail. I even enjoy the action movies with comedy such as True Lies.

My most recent movie was Transformers Dark of the Moon, which was quite enjoyable, and my wife enjoyed it too, which is pretty good since she's not really a big fan of "guy movies."

Is Anti Trust the teen thriller about the software tycoon?

Zulu - One of the first movies I remember watching regularly.
Shawshank Redemption - This is one of those movies that if it's on TV I practically stop whatever it is that I'm doing and sit down and watch to the end.
Pulp Fiction - Another all-time favorite of mine. Snatch comes in close behind this movie.

Last Movie Watched:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - Not as dark as I was expecting it to be.
Return of the Jedi - Need I say more (although Lucas adding in all that extra crap is nice and all I feel he went overboard in some areas.

Recommend:
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - A long movie that is well worth the time spent watching it. Very fascinating to me.
Tokyo Godfathers - An anime movie about 3 homeless people living in Tokyo around Christmas. Really fun movie with a decent ending.
Thin Red Line - One of the best and most underrated WWII movie out there.

Last movie watched - Source Code. Good movie, would have been so much better had it left out the final 3 or 4 minutes.

Yeah that'd be the one.

Hmmmm... I actually went ahead and saw the midnight premier Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 with some friends. I didn't expect much from it, but it was much more enjoyable than I thought.

Combine that with its ridiculous score on Rottentomatoes:

(it's not that good imo) and it has to be the most solid Harry Potter movie out of all of them.

Anyway, what did everyone else think? I thought Alan Rickman definitely stole the show acting wise. Hellena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix) was also entertaining especially when she was impersonating herself.

Now I will wait (in vain) for someone to make an open ended Harry Potter RPG.

I got 2 watch a few movies today in my spare time.

They Live is a classic movie about conformity and subliminal messaging under alien control (Yeah, it's weird, but awesome).

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is probably the best film about a killer I've ever seen. The actor who portrays Henry delivers an amazing and shockingly believable performance as this dark film narrates part of the life of the killer of the same name.
Yay for 80's films. :D

AND IT HAS THE MANLIEST MAN FIGHT EVER.
