Hello!

This morning my phone was blaring and I got this message (see the enclosed photo). I said, "wow, Pickering is within 10 kilometers of Toronto? I thought it was more than that". I thought this might escalate in to a situation where we would have to evacuate the city, but it's Sunday, and come hell or high water I'm sleeping in. The second alarm woke me up a little less than 2 hours later. I fell asleep again and woke up at 1. I went for grocery later in the day. This looks like a situation that would create some zany anecdotes. Do you have any that you would like to share?

I live in Toronto, and woke up at 7:22 to this alert and freaked the F out, I watched the HBO Chernobyl show that night as well which was even more creepier. I did her of problems from that plant before because of it's age and I know it's getting decommissioned in 2024.

but man today was a very interesting morning, that's for sure...

how did you feel on this?
I tried to process what was happening. I only had 3 hours of sleep, so that didn't go very far. I told myself that someone would figure it out, and went back to bed. I really was too tired to care. Although I can understand how this can be a distressing situation. I wish I had some advice to give, but I can't think of anything useful :(
