Just a notice that the Falcon games are back on GOG again. And apparently they're being published by Micrprose this time.
Maybe it's a good news and a sign that GOG managed to strike a deal with the new Microprose publisher (and thus we could be getting some new games).

Or maybe it's just a one-time deal. Wait & see, then.

My bad.
Nothing to apologize for.
I also only know because I was the one noticing. :)

It seems the bonus goodies are also unaffected. This is probably one of the best delist/relist outcomes i have ever seen since i joined GOG :D I`m sure Microprose will not dissapoint with future releases :) Cheers

There's a noticeable abscence when it comes to GoG releases of NuMicroProse's recent titles over the last couple years though.

HighFleet, Carrier Command 2, Regiments, DROP - System Breach, Mech Engineer, B-17 Flying Fortress: World War II Bombers in Action, to name a few.

Wait wait wait... Does that mean we can hope for a Civ 1&2 release here? Please GOG? Pretty please?

That's one of the releases I've been waiting for, ever since I first created a GOG account.
My old laptop desperately needs some Civ game which it can manage to run.
Remember that this was happened because Atari

I think that more games are coming

also some other games will probably delisted first and than re-released

If the Falcon relisting is due to the Atari deal why is Microprose set as the new publisher, instead of Atari?

I think it's highly unlikely.
"Take-Two bought the rights to the Civilization franchise from Infogrames in 2004 for $22.3 million." (from Wiki)

And let's not forget that new Microprose has nothing to do with the original company. It's a totally new company which bought the rights for Microprose brand and aquired few IP to some of the old games, mainly from Atari. Take-Two Interactive or 2K Games, who currently own the Civilization franchise, are unlikely to sell it.

The big question is who owns the IP rights to the game code for Civilization 1 & 2. I might suggest it's not 2K otherwise they would re-release them digitally. Probably it's co-owned by Sid Meyer and super complicated and expensive for a re-release hassle.

Anyway I wouldn't think Microprose (II) would help here.
I was mostly impressed how quickly the games were back up. The new owner seems to be more interested in the manpower these companies bring than their old IPs.
