Remember those 101-in-1 multicarts?

Evoland 2, a heavy case of all-around video-game history, is available now on Windows, DRM-free on GOG.com!

The original Evoland was the byproduct of one of those ridiculous game-jams, where talented developers come together to show off their craft under the pressure of time, audience, and crippling hunger. It took gamers on a ride through the history of action-RPGs, from the early days of Zelda, through awkwardly chunky 3D, and into the gloriously high-res modern day.
Evoland 2 is the, well, evolution of the original concept - bigger, more varied, and with all the genres included. It remains a classic RPG at heart, but as the game and story continues to morph, you'll travel through a massive mix of familiar tropes and gameplay mechanics including Guitar Hero, Metal Gear Solid, and even a little bit of Bejeweled. It's Multicart: The Game, and remains one of the most interest concepts in gaming to date.

Embark on an all-in-one adventure in Evoland 2, A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder today, DRM-free on GOG.com

benmar: Evoland 1 is one of the most disappointing games I have purchased on GOG.
I will not judge the sequel based on its predecessor and I'm willing to give it a try. But definitely not at this price.
I second that. The first game definitely wasted a lot of potential and I can't relate to people praising it so much. It was a funny idea with uninspired execution and better at pointing out the flaws of the genre than creating nostalgia and excitement.
Hurray! While short, I completely enjoyed the first game. So glad to see the sequel here. I will definitely be buying this by the end of the week. Thank you, Shiro Games and GOG!
Still haven´t played the first one, but wishilisted.
I liked the first one. Will see about this one.
Another very expensive release. Wishlisted for a later year.
I liked the first so I'll be a buyer for this one sooner or later. Nice release.
Really looking forward to this one. Out of the nearly 150 games in my library evoland was one of the best loved and most played as a love letter to gaming history. Can't wait to see where this one will take me :)

rampancy: Wow, that was unexpected. But a lack of a Mac or Linux version is disappointing.
this. I will wait for mac and linux release
btw this game is NOT regionally priced here on GOG. Unlike Steam.

Smannesman: Holy moly, $20?
I'll wait for a while.
With Evoland, even the price evolves with the time..
i was hoping this would get an "official release."

i saw it show up on humble's store yesterday [monday] and was curious to see whether or not gog would release it, too.

was a bit worried earlier when it seemed to get buried under shelter 2 + pillars expansion, but am very glad to see it get an official news post. :)

will be picking this up for sure. the first game was wonderful and i don't mind giving shiro games more money for their wonderful ideas.

real.geizterfahr: The guy who tested Evoland 2 for GameStar (German magazine) said the following:

I'm totally thrilled of Evoland 2! It already entertained me for 30 hours when I did the last boss battle. And I'm not done with it yet. I want to discover everything, 100%!

real.geizterfahr: *german link*

Somewhere in the test he said that the game told him (during the final credits), that he finished 90% of the game. So... 30 hours for a thorough playthrough were you only missed a few things.
Thank you for the link to the review. 30 hours sounds more than fine to me. I will buy the game.
Evoland 2: A Slight Case of Not Being Freddi Fish 2 Disorder

It's okay guys, a lot of products suffer from this deadly disease
Very cool. The first game was interesting, but it looks like they've taken the idea a lot further this time.
Nice to see this here. The first one was too short, but that aside it was a great nostalgia trip, and a love letter to the classics of the console RPG and Adventure genres.

At about 15 bucks it probably would have been an instant purchase, but I think I'll wait for a few reviews first.
