Well let's have a look. I checked the first couple of challenges so now I think how I should approach this.

If you're waiting for me before closing this, please don't. I'll be happy with what I've learned so far regarding this new-to-me subject. Looking forward to learn the solution.

Not really. blotunga is still solving, and I'm waiting for an answer from one more person.

What I'd do is, if no one else is actively solving, I'd give away the game before revealing the solution. As in the previous one, those who attempted to solve it or partially solved it will first be offered the game, and if they don't want it, it'd go to a public GA.

I just chanced upon this yesterday and fiddled around with it for a bit, but I haven't really made any headway, so, I guess I'll not make it till the time is up (if ever ;) ).
But it's a really cool idea! I'll try to give it a good shot now and try not to peek once the solution is up.

A bunch of your question marks are definitely mine as well, haha. Although I am a bit farther down the track it seems (with a lot of help), I'm still struggling and stuck again :D Applause to those who've already solved this.

I think knowledge is the main thing... knowing what you are looking at, and what to look for is most of the battle. I got stuck majorly by not recognising a hint as a hint (because it was something unfamiliar to me). Most of the information you need is available between the first two giveaways and the information ZFR has linked to.

Yeah, ZFR has been kindly feeding me hints. I think you are spot on with it being about recognizing what's in front of your eyes. Still at it :)

Mhm, I don't really know what to look for, and know quite literally nothing about programming... which seems to be a bit of a dealbreaker. The number of variables ("what could this mean?") seems just so vast that I'm just chasing waterfalls ;)
I checked out the previous challenges quickly, but, obviously, those solutions seem kind of plausible and logical in hindsight (although I imagine it's pretty easy to get stuck even when you're already on the right track).
But like chevkoch said, major props to the people who solved this already!

Really... I am not that smart. I just asked a lot of questions.
I found the correct language family, but not even the right one directly. Towards the end I just threw possible things to go after and ideas at ZFR, with him either confirming them or pushing me in the right direction.

Since the game has not been claimed so far, I'd like to give it away before revealing the results. As I said, those who attempted to solve it will have a first shot at it. At the moment, it's the following people:

I would like to see your code working, so if you would point some on-line interpreter that can run it, it would be swell. I tried the first half-dozen I could find, but with no success.

Well, finally managed to do it... took me longer than should have because I was in a hurry and haven't double-checked stuff :)
Anyway it was a nice challenge.
