Figure I would show the Top 20 on the Dreamlist (as of May 8) to see what games people are voting for overall.

So what do you think the odds are of the games listed here are of being released?

My thoughts:

All games from EA: I would say there is a possibility but more due to the current state that EA is in right now as they are downsizing a lot of developers and cancelling projects. If someone could get them to see that they could generate revenue form releasing games on GOG again that could make it possible. For the C&C games they will most likely get individual releases rather than as a collection.

Silent Hill 1&2 classic: This may be dependant on how the Silent Hill 2 remake does here. I have heard there are contract disputes with the second game but if someone can expand on that it would be great.

No One Lives Forever:........ we all know the issues here with IP rights.

Blizzard Games: In my opinion doubtful as they removed Warcraft 2 recently and people are concerned that the first Diablo may be next in the future to go.

Resident Evil Code Veronica X: This never had a PC port done so the original version would be a lot of work. There has been some amazing work being done in "recompiling" games from this era (see Sonic Unleashed recompiled for an example) but this may be far off for an official port.
I'm pretty sure most of those were tossed in from the Wishlist, and I can't remember if/when I voted for Freelancer.
Why would Blizzard remove Diablo when it's 6th bestselling (all time) game on GOG? If they bring the second it will surpass it in sales at some point.
IMO, other than the EA ones most of those games have little to no chance in actually getting here.

When they did there remasters of Warcraft 2 they pulled the original versions from GOG (shortly after they entered the preservation program as well) so many feel if Blizzard decide to remaster/remake Diablo 1 they will simply pull that game from GOG as well.

Sadly it's probably still pocket change hardly worth pursuing for Activision and the like. Heroes 3 is number one of all time since forever and it didn't make UbiSoft any more willing to release stuff here.

In regards to titles without PC ports:

"Marcin Paczyński: We're actually working right now on a couple of games from that platform (Neo Geo) and we're also using an open source emulator for that, meaning that we're creating our own version based on that technology."
For now it's just the mentioned emulated Neo Geo titles, but who knows what else GoG might aim for or might be already working on (SNES, PSX, Dreamcast, etc) as well...
I firmly believe that the NOLF games will come to GOG despite the problems there have been getting a digital release in the past.

As wolfsite said, a remaster would basically guarantee the removal. And even otherwise, if they're for DRM and sales on their own store, where they take 100%, good sales here may actually make them see it as worthwhile to keep it there instead. Screwed if you do, screwed if you don't sort of thing for GOG.

I'd say there's a huge difference between Neo Geo and those other consoles, what getting distribution rights would mean, what bundling an emulator with a commercial release would imply, the sheer catalog it'd potentially give access to...

Yeah, that's called MAME. It's been around since...just shy of 30 years. It's not some new magical technology. Plus we already have several NEO Geo titles, including the two actually worth having, Neo Turf Masters & Metal Slug.
