I am replaying Dreamfall Chapters and posted questions about it on this forum last year but I am replaying it now and confused about something else. I played it when it was in 5 parts when each part came out, then replayed the whole game, but IMO, there is a lot to be confused about with this game. I have played the whole game twice now and it ran ok, but this time I am playing it again, I forgot some things and I am stuck. The first time I played it a while back, I worked for Mira (the swearer), but this replaying it, I work at the lab and re-arrange the algae and it was very tough.
I don't like the lab

I don't want to work in the lab and do the puzzles there, but I don't see any way to change from doing the lab part and instead doo the part with Mira instead. I don't know what they mean by I chose earlier on which one I wanted to do. I've searched all over but what choice was I supposed to make earlier in the game that would allow me to choose either work with Mira or work at the lab?

Also, I downloaded the 5 parts of the game, and put them in "Downloads" then tried to start the game by clicking on the .exe file, but it said "the installer is missing" - I don't want to use Galaxy to download. I forget from before what I used to install the game. My memory isn't too good. There is a Gog downloader, but I don't know how to use it.

Also, last thing - There are 3 patches, patch 5.20, and 5.30 and 5.31. Am I supposed to download each one starting at 5.20 and put the three patches in "Downloads" or just need to install the 5.31 patch.

Any help is appreciated. The game is quite good in a lot of parts, but the setup is harder to figure out than the game..

In the prologue, when Zoe tries to wake up, she is confronted with the "other Zoe" and after a small "dialog puzzle" there is a big choice (with balance symbol rotating). If you choose "the path that was" - you will work in the lab. If you choose "new path" - you will work at Mira's Pandemonium.

To: LootHunter - Thank you very much for the information above. I never even guessed the choice of working at Mira's Pandemonium or at the lab was decided at the early part of the game. It went completely over my head. I have continued replaying the game though I "chose" the lab way before, (but didn't know I was choosing anything -)
If I play the game again sometime, I will know how and when to choose Mira or the lab.Thanks again.

I am stuck again in Dreamfall Chapters. I've played it before but deleted it a while back and downloaded the entire game again a few months ago. It's been working ok but I am near the end of Book 4 right after Interlude 3 which was Saga and the "Wards". I did that part but when Saga ended that part, I think Book 5 was supposed to start, but it never started. The screen just showed the characters in the game like Kian, and others and their choices in the game, and when that ended, there was just a black screen with white scrolling up for a long time, and no sign of Book 5. I downloaded all parts of the game from Gog, I don't remember if I downloaded any patches. I was starting the game fresh as if I downloaded it for the first time. Can anyone tell me if I can get Book 5 and where. I have no idea. Thanks.
