It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I have installed the downloader but when I click on the game I want to download nothing happens, the downloader doesnt register anything and the game doesnt download. I'm using chrome. Note that the dowloader doesnt crash or anything, it simply doesnt acknowledge the fact I pressed the button to dowload. Internet explorer and firefox dont work either.
Do you have the "GOG.com downloader mode" toggle in the my accounts page toggled to on? You should see it in the dropdown when you click on a game.
How long have you used the current version? There were a couple of updates about two weeks ago.

Have you tried re-starting the PC after you downloaded the update?

If you're not using beta version of the Downloader (available via forums only), make sure that http://gog.com/account/beta is OFF.

Also, just in case, try redownloading the app from http://gog.com/downloader - reinstalling it should register the custom protocol for website-downloader communication

If this doesn't help, please post in this topic: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/introducing_the_beta_release_of_the_new_gogcom_downloader - one of our devs monitors this topic daily and will be happy to look into this problem :)

What do you mean "game never appears"? Appears where?

It seems you can download the game installer (right?). Then you just have to find that installer you downloaded, and run it in order to install the game. Make sure you realize that downloading and installing the game are not the same thing.

The downloader itself works for me, I just downloaded Empire Earth 1-3 last night with it.
Hello, I have come to ask for help, as I have not received any from Support after writing twice...

I shall repeat for the most part I read from one other who posted not too long ago, which is the same problem I am having, though my system is MAC OSX v10.6.8 They write:

I have installed the downloader but when I click on the game I want to download nothing happens, the downloader doesnt register anything and the game doesn't download. I'm using Safari. Note that the downloader doesn't crash or anything, it simply does not acknowledge the fact I pressed the button to dowload.

So I have downloaded the GOG Downloader twice, and just shows a blank page, but that I am logged in and online, thats it. Also, when I read through all the Support info on the Downloader, it mentions regarding adding your purchases to the Downloader by clicking on the 'Add to Downloader' button (which I see None anywhere! lol) which is supposedly right below my main Browser, which there is nothing.

Ahh I think I see your problem. First GOG is no longer going to be suppourting the downloader as Galaxy when finished will serve the same basic function but in the mean time they are still allowing games to be downloaded via the downloader just the links are harder to find since as I said it's no longer going to be supported or updated.

So what you will need to do is click on the game you wish to download via the downloader and then click on the more button and you will find a option marked "downloader links" just click on that and you will find the links to download your game via the downloader.

Hello DCT,
That sounds great, only I do not see any 'More' button anywhere to click on in my page. Please send me link if possible, or what other way around this problem?
Awaiting your reply... Thank you!

As I said You have to click on the game first.. for example you want to download Dungeon Keeper just click on Dungeon Keeper in your libary and it will bring up a drop down menu with the more button.

Click on the game first, then More -> GOG Downloader Links.
