Hello all,

I think it would be really cool to easily install and play DOS games on mobile devices. There is an app that does this, but the developer has not updated their project for quite some time. It still works as of Android 12, but I would love it if GOG would pick it up.

DOSBox Turbo on Google Play
DOSBox Manager on Google Play

I have used this since 2012. It works great.

have you checked other app distribution channels than Google Play?
I was able to get the desktop Linux version of DOSBox working. The procedure is basically something along these lines:
* Install termux, preferably from F-Droid. (Do not get the Google Play version; it's not up to date and won't be getting any more updates.)
* Under termux, add the x11 repo.
* Install a VNC server under termux.
* Install DOSBox, and any other desktop Linux programs you want to use that are in the termux repo.
* Outside of termux, install a VNC viewer app.
* Then, start the server in termux, then connect to it via VNC (on the same phone). You can now start DOSBox and use it to play DOS games. (As a proof on concept, I got Might & Magic: World of Xeen working under these conditions.)

For DOSBox Turbo? Not specifically. I had searched Github and SourceForge hoping the developer opened up the code. No dice.

Looks like there was an update in 2018 -- nice. Thanks for the tip!

Awesome! Love that the alternative is available. Still, I would very much like to have a solution like DOSBox Turbo & Manager as it would make a very nice package for less technically savvy people to use.
