Hard to develop for a moving target. There's even notices on several games that read, "Please be advised that Windows 10 operating system will receive frequent hardware driver and software updates following its release; this may affect game compatibility."

Well, even discluding the game bar, there's a myriad of ways Windows 10 makes gaming a pain.

But not as much of a pain as "sucks to be you, say goodbye to 32-bit" MacOS.

GOG does what they can, which is more than most stores. Usually they couldn't give a lick about compatibility. At least GOG attempts to.

It's always been on the PC community to keep old games working, and probably always will be. There's no money in it for publishers.
