If you could, please PM me, I'm in need of a favor. Thank you.
Yes, I have the original Mac port of Quake. The thing is, it's basically useless to anyone outside of collectors, afficionados, or people who are into pre-OS X/PowerPC-era retro gaming.

If you want to actually just play Quake, get the GOG version, run the installer in Wineskin, and then use the data files with the wide variety of modern OS X ports that are out there.

Why not just download a source port engine like Quakespasm, DarkPlaces, ezQuake (if you are interested in its multiplayer) or if you have an older Mac OS GLQuake?

I own and play the GOG version, but I'm looking for a wav rip of the audio tracks specifically from the Mac version, because they differ in mastering from the PC and Saturn versions.

I use Quakespasm and it's awesome, I'm in need of the Mac version though (see above).

If it's a conversion of the audio track you are looking for then why not just get the mp3 files available online? If you want I can link you the files.

I'm looking specifically for a lossless rip of the mac audio. I'm not looking for MP3s, but thanks for offering.

Oh, so you are an afficionado. Well, I could help you out if need be, but some others might have what you're looking for too.

Thanks, I ran into this rip a while back. It's unfortunately an image of the mac game data + the PC version audio tracks.

Really? If it's the original disk image from the MacSoft CD release, you'd think it would have also had the CD audio too...

I will dust off my old Quake CD and rip the audio -- you'll have to tell me in what format you want it, though.

Yep, I'd swear there was even a comment that mentioned it somewhere. I can tell by looking at the waveforms/spectral frequency analysis in Adobe Audition. The mac version also has the audio channels swapped.

I would truly appreciate it if you could rip it, anything lossless, Wav, FLAC, APE etc.

*If you're setup to do so, please use an "accuracy" oriented program like EAC or dBpoweramp or some equivalent.

THANK YOU!
