Breja: There actually is a Magnum P.I. episode Legend of the Lost Art, based entirely around putting Tom Selleck in an Indiana Jones-like plot (and costume) because he was supposed to play Indy in the film.

Romancing The Stone is another, with Michael Douglas etc.
They all came out around the time of Raiders ... roughly ... not long after as I recall.
They'd be more appropriate as movies to query whether anyone remembers ... but then they likely wouldn't fit in with the dubious theory behind this thread.

Timboli: Does anyone remember Stargate? Surely not ... or maybe just a couple who also remember Star Wars and Star Trek.
I think the OP is on some kind of nostalgia trip ... some kind of trip anyway. ;)
But, do you recommend these movies? Should I check them out? I am on the lookout for swashbuckling films.
