amok: hmm.. too much rhythm action game for my tastes, so not my cup of tea. the style is very nice, though.
the art style is gorgeous!

oh, and I haven't mentioned yet that this game's main source of inspiration is Shadow of the Colossus! the world needs more games like SotC !!!
that´s true. The main game inspiration is SotC and have inspirations as well from Silent Hill 2.

got any news about a possible release on gog?
As mentioned by Viperfdl, https://www.gog.com/indie is the best next step to take. You'll find a form there, simply fill it in!

Good luck :)

That peaked my interest, even though my favorite Silent Hill is 3, and not 2;)
The game looks really nice. And it seems that artists are today a lot more important than code monkeys for games.

Artists who work with computer graphics commercially are a lot rarely than programmers.

True. That's why I haven't tried to do a sequel for Birth of the Empires, or to do something different. I'd need artists for that and those are hard to get for hobby projects. And lately I wouldn't have time anyway anymore.
My preference is for something like the OCD but I think the Rat is a more popular one.

Guys thanks very much for all your help.

But unfortunelly the guys on gog answered my email with a negative answer.

They said.

We’ve taken a look at Distortions, it looks like a adventure game, with
fun mechanics and gorgeous, eye-catching graphics.

Unfortunately, however, we feel that the game would not be a good fit
for GOG, as we think that it appears to be too niche and a bit too small
in scale in terms of production value for our users, which means that we
aren’t confident in its release potential on our site.

But thanks everyone for all your help.

you guys was awesome..
Wow, this is the first actual proof I see of GOG using the phrase "too niche" (provided Thiago here isn't trolling us, which I don't have any reason to assume).

I always assumed it was an urban legend or, at best, some dev paraphrasing the actual negative feedback.

That's a shame. It looks like a really cool game and a very interesting concept. Maybe in the near future.
"too niche"? If that's real then I seriously don't understand their thinking. Why not just let the users choose for themselves?!? I would never have known several games if they didn't appear on GOG.

thiagogirello, could you take out the source of that mail and post it or use pastebin?

Yhea guys, I'm kind down with the games... I have the feeling that don't´have enough public out there that would like the kind of games we do. That our game is too niche.

Depends on what mail client you use.
