I had purchased Disco Elysium, have been installing from Galaxy 2.0 even tried the patches, but I get a box with a broken disco ball and a green loading indicator. Just shows 2.0 and the play icon in use but that's about it. Frustrated reinstalled drivers went to update and nothing.

Have you tried using the offline installers? They do not require Galaxy to work.

Otherwise, you can try your luck on:

GOG has been in contact, now I have been able to launch the game but all the characters heads ,hands and faces are gone

Were you able to find a fix? I still get the 'disco ball with red exclamation mark' error, then crash to desktop on launch.
