Hey all I have all the Homeworld games and have tried to launch Deserts of Karakh and it will not launch. I get the launch icon in the taskbar for a moment and then it just disappears with no game launched. Any idea how to get it to work? I tried the post 10th gen Intel i series fix and it did not correct the issue.

Many thanks all.

Don't you have any concerns when using Windows 11? Just like Windows 10, Windows 11 is a "privacy nightmare"!
The windows event log should contain some information about the cause.

The usual suspects however are missing runtimes and so on.
Make sure to install Microsofts C++ packs for both 32 and 64 bit.

For older games I would also suggest dgVoodoo2, but this game should be covered by standard drivers.

This solved my issue. I just purchased a new laptop and hadn't updated those drivers. The game launched into the menu so it's off into the desert, thank you my friend.
