Apparently, I bought this in 2013 already, while it was on sale...and I don' think, I've installed and played it even once, since.
Just another proof for the statement, that you shouldn't buy stuff, just because it's on sale and/or looks nice/interesting.
Buy only what you really want to play - when you want to play it.
Might save you a ton of money over the years.

That's weird, the store being sent a delist order about two titles but saying the situation is unclear about two others that are related. You'd think such orders would be clear on the details...

The developer seems to have vanished. The contract with Gog likely expired and the dev couldn't be contacted to renew it. His other game might still be covered by a different contract.

Shouldn't that be quite clear then, whether it is or isn't covered by a different contract?

I often wonder about this type of situation. Such as: from a legal perspective, in the event of having lost contact with the owed parties, for how long is GOG expected to set aside the allocated funds?

Hopefully the appropriate period of time is not longer than a few years of zero interaction with the publisher, or, other rights holder(s).

Ouch, this is getting a bit much lately.

Sadly, there is no way for me to justify buying at undiscounted prices (~ 13 € for S5+DLC; plus the same again for Invasion+DLC) when at the same time, I can buy a tier 3 Humble Bundle for much less (11.43 €).

Could be a set time from the time the game comes here to a standard number of years.

Given Smugglers V: Invasion is a year later than Smugglers V, we might see a delisting notice for Invasion next year. Given the guy's last game was in 2015 and I can't find anything about him, it's entirely possible that he's, well, gone, and the games are abandonware now.
