I assume that the thread breaking is due to the vast amounts of money saved/squandered upon comics that it has generated through its life. The thread just couldn't contain itself and broke. That or we got gremlins in GOG!

At least the breakage appears to move down with each post, so someone is only blocked briefly. :) Assuming I'm seeing the same thing as everyone else. Maybe the next page will fix it??

I remember seeing this happen to another thread here somewhere. But it was a while ago and I don't know if it was ever resolved...

Doh! That was probably me that broke it. My last post had some other forum software formatting that apparently fubars things. I can't edit my posts here in iOS, and don't have access to a computer right now.

Either a mod can tweak my last post or I'll try to fix it next time I can.

The weeklong sale from DC is disappointing in that it's only a handful of collections, and pretty much all of them were on sale in singles form recently. The only new to sale-dom books are a few of the older Green Arrow books.

Same here. Actually, I enjoyed Alex + Ada so much that I regret not buying the collected edition of Girls, which was also on sale last week. I know It'll probably be worth every penny even at full price, but there are so many great books on sale right now (and I already own so many unread books, too), that I'll probably wait until the next sale.

Damn, that Vertigo sale is full of great stuff, but the timing is awful, right after those huge Image and Batman sales.

I was thinking of picking up Ex Machina, as I enjoyed everything I've read from Brian K. Vaughan (Saga, Y: The Last Man, and The Pride of Badhgad, although The Pride of Baghdad is not nearly as good as the other two). But it seems to get very mixed reviews. Has anyone here read it?

And I have always wanted to read Transmetropolitan, but it's 10 volumes. I would feel bad spending that much right now. Is it really that good?

And how about Preacher?

Damn. Why didn't they wait until Christmas for this sale? I should be strong and stop buying comics with DRM, but it's not that easy to find affordable comics in English here in Spain.
