madth3: Re: Dynamite Bundles

I took a dive into the different bundles and I made a spreadsheet that I thought I could share.
Nice spreadsheet! I just noticed there are more Dynamite Comics bundles, so this definitely helps!

TrevorWilliams: This week's Comixologist Podcast freebie code is 44pod, but Letter 44 #1 looks like it is already free anyway. Besides, everyone here owns it already I hope.
It comes priced at $0.99 without the code, but close enough.
really worlwid
thanks for posting

madth3: As I pointed out earlier, not all the issues in the bundle have DRM-Free backups. Unless they are unproperly marked in Comixology.

undeadcow: I can confirm that some of the Comixology issues are not yet DRM free; having purchased the bundle there's no accessible direct download link for titles like Chaos, Alice Cooper, Frankenstein, Dresden Files, Mercy Thompson, Red Sonja, Kirby, Monster War, Sherlock Holmes, Uncanny, Warriors, Green Hornet(s), Pathfinder...

It's possible that Comixology may add DRM free downloads at a later time.
There's a Chrome extension that scrapes the images from the web browser, and collects them as a CBZ file. It's simple to setup and use, and even integrates into the existing Comixology site. The images aren't as high-resolution as a native CBZ file, but it works great for being able to archive those comics lacking a DRM-free option.

What's take Trevor's money sale? Googled it but couldn't find anything about it.

I think Trevor is making a joke about how he spends too much money on the Dark Horse Digital Anniversary sale. It's expected every title on Dark Horse Digital will be 50% off around April 24th-ish and if you join the newsletter by April 22, then you get a coupon code for an additional (likely 10) % off.

Ah, right. I'm dense. Should have realised what he meant even without knowing the specific sale.
Horror sale this weekend on Dark Horse
...like anyone is going to buy from Dark Horse immediately before their anniversary sale...

You're right of course, but it's really only 5% difference. I'm actually thinking of buying a few things this weekend so that the bill next week isn't quite as large.

I'm also sort of wishing I had bought that huge Creepy and Eerie they had once. Now that I've bought a few pieces of it the bundle won't be worthwhile even if they do it again.

I wish Dark Horse and Comixology would prorate bundles based on how much of it you've already bought from them.

Actually if I recall correctly during Cyber Monday the 10% off coupon took 10% off the initial price (so was 60% not 55% off); I was surprised because the coupon knocked things down much cheaper than I anticipated.
That'd be nice, I forgot about that.

But technically, or mathematically, it should work out to 55% off either way you calculate it, right?

Part of the reason the discount is so great is because the discounts are off their already discounted bundle prices iirc.

Depends on how you apply the percentages. As undeadcow mentioned, both the 50% and the extra coupon were calculated with respect to the original prize. This results in a total of a 60% which is better than the usual way of applying a discount after another.
Complete your original Avengers collection with another two 100 issue bundles (201-300 and 301-400) for $74.99 each, ends 4/20/15.

StoryBundle added "Project Superpowers: Blackcross #2" as a free newsletter bonus to their Dynamite Bundle. That's actually pretty useful since this issue was not included in any of the earlier Dynamite Bundles (only #1), as madth3s spreadsheet shows.
